Second Community Workshop to Review Designs is June 1st

Our landscape architects have been very busy and we’re present for feedback the redesign concepts for the Delridge Triangle!
You’re invited to attend the upcoming community to review the four design ideas.
We need your input!
  • Fun activities to explore and share your vision for the Triangle
  • Be counted! Have your voice heard by both SDOT and Seattle Parks.
  • Learn about the next steps that will make the Delridge Triangle “A Place For Our Community To Play”.
  • All are welcome!

Doors open at 8:45am. Plenty of parking in the area. Snacks will be provided

Makers will guide the review as the project landscape architects.

First Community Workshop- March 23rd

All community members are invited to a community design meeting on Saturday March 23, from 10 a.m. to noon at Highland Park Improvement Club (1116 SW Holden St, Seattle, WA 98106). Doors will open at 9:45 a.m. Snacks, professional childcare with guided activities as well as interpreters will be provided.

This is an opportunity for our community to come together and imagine a public space for us all.

We Need Your Opinion! To help us tailor these efforts to improve and enhance the Triangle, please take a few moments to take our baseline survey.

Landscape Architect Selected: First Community Workshop Date Set

An all-volunteer, grassroots gathering of neighbors — is pleased to announce that it has selected Seattle-based MAKERS to lead a community design process for a reimagining of the Delridge Triangle right-of-way space at 9200 Delridge Way SW.

The greater Seattle community is invited to a series of public workshops to help imagine new ideas for the space. Save the date for the first: mid-morning on Saturday, March 23 at Highland Park Improvement Club. Everyone is welcome.

The Delridge Triangle lies at the center of South Delridge. With Highland Park to the east and Westwood-Roxhill to the west, the right of way is central feature of our neighborhood, and the nearest public open space for many families living in South Delridge. Friends of the Delridge Triangle seeks to activate the voice of the community to create a safe and inclusive public space for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

MAKERS is an architectural and urban design firm based in Seattle, providing services to clients throughout the US. Founded in 1972, the firm was selected for its community-centered approach and experience with public projects, including the Barton Street P-Patch.

This project has been funded by community volunteering, pledges and commitment from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Neighborhood Matching Fund.

RFQ Review Process Has Begun!

Thanks to all the hard work of our candidate Landscape Architects! The Friends of The Delridge Triangle has entered the review and scoring process for all the submissions received. The deadline to submit final scores is Monday, November 26th. From there, we will hold a meeting to select our finalists for interviews.

The Friends of the Delridge Triangle is pleased to announce our official on-board with Fiscal Sponsor the Highland Improvement Club!

Founded in 1919. HPIC’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in the neighborhood by providing a gathering place, hosting neighborhood programs and sustaining a platform for community engagement.
